Water supply network at BI-QEM S.P.A.

Il gruppo 3i si è occupato dell’installazione di una nuova internal and external fire water network, complete with a pumping station and water reserve, to protect the Chemiplastica plant in Carbonate, now Bi-Qem Spa.

L’azienda è leader nella produzione di urea termoindurente, composti di stampaggio melaminico, con cinque sedi di produzione e uffici di vendita in tutto il mondo.

Initially, the group conducted an inspection that highlighted a series of necessary modifications.

The existing fire-fighting water network was supplied by submersible pumps in wells.

Era presente rete di distribuzione interrata che alimentava alcuni idranti a parete UNI45 posizionati sia all’esterno che all’interno dei fabbricati.

The existing hydrants were not sufficient to protect all areas and furthermore they could not be used for the external protection of the buildings.

A fronte dei risultati delle prove e la non conformità alla norma UNI EN 12845 (riferimento per le stazioni di pompaggio antincendio), l’intervento ha coinvolto:

one new pumping station

one new underground distribution network

idranti UNI45 all’interno dei fabbricati

UNI70 a colonna all’esterno for the protection of buildings.

In agreement with the technicians of the Como Fire Department Command, provisions have also been made sprinkler systems a protezione di alcuni fabbricati in cui sono presenti le sostanze più pericolose.
