Energia in Energia – The Science Competition 2022/2023 – 6th edition

2022 – 2023 EDITION WINNERS

For the “Student Scientists” category, the Jury awards three prizes of 150 Euros each in Amazon vouchers to be spent on educational materials to the 4th and 5th classes of the Bobbio Institute of Strevi, Rivalta, Cassine, and Carpeneto for:

– the best presentation

– the best studio

– the best paper.

For the “Beginning Scientists” category, the Jury awards three prizes of 150 Euros each in Amazon vouchers to be spent on educational materials to:

– the best project: I.C. Straneo of Alessandria

– the best presentation: I.C. Borsellino Valenza 3D and 3H

– The best studio: I.C. Borsellino San Salvatore M.to 3Asa

During the final races, seeds of Pinus nigra were donated to all participating schools to be planted, cared for, and their growth shared with photos on our social media channels! We can't wait to be updated!

FINAL MATCHES

The May 23 morning from 8:45 to 12:00 at Botanical Garden of Alessandria and the May 25, 2023 morning from 8:45 to 12:00 at the’Great Hall of the University of Eastern Piedmont were played Final Science Energy Competitions in Energy “2050: Plants at the Center"“, addressed to the 500 students enrolled in the 2022/2023 edition.

At 9:00 AM, Councillor Marina Cornara welcomed the students and kicked off the two-day event, before proceeding with the Jury to evaluate the school projects. This year the Jury consisted of:

WORKSHOPS

On March 16 and 17, 2023, in the morning from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, the Workshops took place at the Aula Magna of UPO – DISIT in Alessandria. Energia in Energia “2050: Plants at the center"“, aimed at all students enrolled in the 2022/2023 Science Competition.

Virginia Bianco and Cecilia Mazzucco, 3rd-year students at the Applied Sciences Scientific High School of ITIS Volta, developed, hosted, and presented the content of this edition with great enthusiasm, engaging the kids through learning quizzes and video focus segments.

TRAINING SEMINAR

On February 1, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, in Room No. 204 of the UPO – DISIT in Alessandria, the seminar for the new edition of the school project “Energia in Energia – 2050: Plants at the center“, aimed at all primary and lower secondary school teachers in the Alessandria area.

TEACHER TRAINING (January)
The participating teachers take part in a 4-hour seminar with training credits at the University of Eastern Piedmont

PARTICIPATION KIT (February/March)
Each class receives in-depth educational material in digital format and a mobile app for educational purposes.

WORKSHOPS (February/March)
Workshops organized by 3i Group engineers,
in peer-to-peer format with students from ITIS Volta and IS Sobrero

FINAL RACES (May)
At the end of the school year, the classes present their projects in front of a panel of experts, who will vote on the best papers, studies, and presentations.

AWARDS (May)
The most interesting projects are awarded a cash voucher to be reinvested in educational materials.
